Gavin McLaughlin is chef and owner of Gavin McLaughlin Events & Catering Company, a premier events and catering company based in Manhattan serving clients in New York City, New Jersey, Nantucket, Long Island and Connecticut. GME&CC’s mission is to provide unique and customized events catering to all a clients needs and wants whether its a wedding for 250 people or an intimate dinner for 20. His utilization of the best local, seasonal & sustainable ingredients, culinary execution, service staff and event production provides amazing one of a kind of event experiences for his clients.
Gavin McLaughlin is a self taught chef that now owns and operates The Grey Lady Restaurants based in NYC, Nantucket and Aspen as well his events company. Having grown up on an apple farm he found his passion for cooking at a very young age making apple pie at his mother’s side in her farm house. His first cooking jobs were in restaurants on Nantucket in his college years and immediately upon graduation Gavin McLaughlin set out to become a private chef due to his passion for food and the culinary arts. In 2006, Gavin McLaughlin Events & Catering Co launched and has been rapidly expanding just completing its best year yet with a wide range of events from intimate family dinners to weddings for 250 guests. He has worked with many foundations and charities in NYC including The X-Prize Foundation, Operation Smile, Worldwide Orphans Fund and Nourishing NYC
GME&CC can take care of all staffing needs, rental needs, and design services to best suit the needs of all events at an affordable and reasonable rate unlike many of the larger catering services in NYC. His staff are some of the best in the industry and the event planning team is creative and resourceful but above all they work with the clients to best suit their desires. GME&CC is truly a boutique operation.
